CRAFTING AN EASTER CANDLE

CRAFTING AN EASTER CANDLE

We will guide you into a warmth moments

You will need two containers: one large (a pot for example) and one small (a jar or cup). They are used for a water bath to melt the wax and begin the creative process.

Simple steps to create your perfect candle:

  1. Fill the large container almost to the top with water. Place the wax into the smaller container, then put the smaller container into the larger one so that it sits in the water.
  2. Place the large container on medium heat to start melting the wax.
  3. While the wax is melting and turning liquid, prepare the jar for your candle. During the process, use a Breetee Portable Range Hood to remove any smoke.
  4. Take a wick with its holder. Stick the label on the base of the holder. Then peel off the other side of the sticker and place it right in the middle of the jar. Press the holder firmly to the bottom so it stays in place.
  5. When the wax has completely melted, remove the container from the heat. Add some aroma oil to the liquid wax and stir for 2–3 minutes with a stick so that the oil mixes well.
  6. Use a wooden centering tool to keep the wick perfectly in the middle of the jar.
  7. Let the candle “rest” until the wax hardens completely. After that, remove the wooden centering tool and trim the wick to 3–5 mm.
  8. If you have the patience, let the candle sit for 24 hours so that it sets properly and the aroma fully develops.
  9. Finally, put on a label, light your candle, and enjoy the result of your work.
